Dear youth and youth groups!

 

Greetings from the Children and Youth Major Group. We are delighted to be writing this email to you. As you may know, UNEA 5.2 and Stockholm+50 are coming up alongside various important avenues and milestones in 2022. 

 

Background:

Over the course of the last few weeks, we have had the pleasure of working with several of you, including our Steering Committee, YEA Working Group, S+50 Focus Group seeking a broad range of inputs and consultations on allocation of funded roles to support these events and the work of the youth constituency. This specifically includes support on administrative tasks, communications and content creation. 

 

Portfolios open:

Based on the support and commitment we have from the public donors: Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) and the government of Sweden, as of now - a total of 4 funded roles (part time) are available to support the work of the Stockholm+50 youth engagement.

We are pleased to publish a call for applications for the following roles, and encourage everyone interested to apply! Please note that the call for funded participation to UNEA will be opened later this week.

How will the selections be carried out? 

 

In line with selection guidelines of the constituency, the selection for these would be done in a competitive manner through a selection committee. A selection committee has bee constituted through the members of the Steering Committee and we welcome more volunteers who would like to support the selection process. To join the selection committee, you should not be an applicant to any of the roles mentioned above. Please write an email to admin@youthenvironment.org in case you are interested to join the selection process. It is indeed that the hired youth can start their work within the first week of January.
