Apply to Speak at the Asia-Pacific Science-Policy-Business Forum

The UN Science-Policy Business-Forum, as a partner of the AP Regional Youth Environment Forum, bring together multisectoral partners to encourage Technology, Partnerships and Integrated Solutions for Nature as key points of interaction towards the achievement of the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The AP-SPBF marks the launch of the first of UN-SPBF’s regional mechanisms, and the Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP is excited to continue our cooperation with the SPBF in contributing to the development and implementation of these mechanisms alongside governmental, scientific, and corporate partners.

A pre-session Youth Segment will be held as part of the AP-RYEF on the 2nd of October.

Upon discussion with the UN-SPBF Secretariat, we have the opportunity to nominate youth representatives to present interventions and pose questions and recommendations to panellists at each of the sessions, which will feed into the SPBF’s inputs to be presented at the Ministerial Forum.

We encourage youth from the Asia-Pacific region to apply to speak and deliver interventions with a focus on leveraging markets and technologies for a sustainable, people-first recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In particular, we would welcome young women and youth from the Pacific region to apply, given that we are nominating speakers with a view to intra-regional diversity. Please find more information in the application form linked below, as well as the attached provisional programme.
