Stockholm+50 Policy Consultations - Register Now!
Dear Youth Advocates and Organisations,
We hope this finds you well!
We are pleased to send this communication to you from the constituents of the Stockholm+50 Youth Task Force! We are delighted to write to you to invite you to the youth policy positions consultations scheduled in January 2022, and to share existing inputs and position papers from your constituency/organisation/network. The inputs collected from these consultations will be used to develop the collective youth position/policy paper for Stockholm+50. Further email communication, including on youth pre-event in Nairobi in February 2022 will be sent soon!
“Stockholm+50 - A Healthy Planet for the Prosperity of All - Our Responsibility, Our Opportunity”, mandated by the UN General Assembly (UNGA), is an international UN meeting that will take place on 2 and 3 June 2022 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment and serve as a contribution to accelerate action towards a more sustainable society. UNEP serves as the coordinating UN agency for the event.
We are excited to have the global youth community meaningfully engaged in one of the most important moments of our generation.
Register Now for Youth Consultation Sessions!
We would like to invite you to the scheduled two consultations on: January 9th, 2022 and January 23rd, 2022 from 14.00 - 15.30 UTC. These consultation sessions will serve as an avenue for young people globally to share inputs, perspectives and expectations on what they envision for global environmental governance and thereby from the Stockholm+50 International Meeting.
The consultations will provide inputs to the collective youth policy/position paper being developed. The first version of the Paper will be available in early February 2022, and subsequent versions scheduled for March and May 2022. We invite all young people to join us with your stories and the policies you think are needed to shape policy priorities of youth globally.
Both the consultations will have distinct agendas - so we invite you to join both if you can. To register for the consultation, please fill this registration form here to indicate your interest. The joining links to the consultation sessions, together with reading materials, will subsequently be emailed to registered participants.
Please register for the consultations in January 2022 using the registration form: https://forms.gle/MDzHJBojzFq1PeTm7
