UNEP Webinar Series on Single Use Plastic Products and LCA - October 2020

We are pleased to inform you that the United Nations Environment Programme life cycle team is making further progress on its work regarding single-use plastic products. As part of this activity, UNEP is launching a webinar series running every Tuesday in October 2020.

This webinar series will draw together a selection of case studies illustrating government responses to developing and implementing policy on single-use plastic products pollution - with a particular interest in cases where life-cycle analysis (LCA) has been used to help inform policy development.

The webinars will share the results of the LCA meta-studies on single-use plastic products and their alternatives, including on shopping bags, beverage cups, takeaway food packaging, beverage bottles, tableware, nappies, and feminine hygiene products.

The authors of the recently published report, “20 Years of Government Responses to the Global Plastic Pollution Problem” from the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University will also present their findings and recommendations.

Member State and Stakeholder experts are encouraged to join these webinars by registering through the links provided below. Part 1 and Part 2 of each series will draw on different country examples and meta-studies. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion with all our speakers.
